Virginia Borges

Virginia (Martin) Borges, 81, of Fall River, formerly of Berkley, died Sunday at Charlton Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of Louis Borges.

Born in Tiverton, RI, she was a daughter of the late Manuel and Deolinda (Aguiar) Martin; she resided most of her life in Fall River, MA.

Mrs. Borges was a homemaker.

Besides her husband of 60 years, she is survived by two daughters, Kimberly A. Berube of Berkley and Jodi L. Miranda of Tiverton, RI; a granddaughter, Kamryn J. Berube; three nieces and a nephew. She was the mother of the late Stephen M. Borges and sister of the late Mary Sousa, Delores Boyle and Hilda Martin.

Her funeral will be held on Thursday at 8 a.m. from the Oliveira Funeral Home, 2064 South Main St. followed by a Funeral Mass at 9 a.m. in St. Mary's Cathedral. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours Wednesday 4 - 8 p.m.
