Virginia E. (Silvia) Amaral Morgan, 88, of Tiverton, RI, formerly of Rehoboth, MA, a retired assembler, passed away Sunday at Gulf Coast Medical Center in Florida. She was the wife of the late Theo J. Morgan and Alfred Amaral.

Born in Fall River, MA, she was a daughter of the late John and Maria (Alberto) Silvia; she resided most of her life in Tiverton and was a member of St. Theresa Parish. She was a member of the Children's Holy Ghost Club in Dartmouth. She enjoyed cross stitching and gardening.

Mrs. Morgan worked for Sarama Lighting for 18 years, retiring in 1988. Previously she worked as a machine operator for 20 years at the former Firestone Rubber.

She is survived by a daughter, Patricia A. "Pat" Bigelow (husband George) of Tiverton; a sister, Emilia "Emy" Ferreira of Florida; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Alfred P. "Fred" Amaral and sister of the late Dorothy Robert, Elizabeth Silvia, Frank Silvia, Hilda Martins, Helen Andre, John Silvia and James J. Silvia.

Her funeral will be held Monday at 8:45 a.m. from the OLIVEIRA FUNERAL HOME, 2064 South Main St. , followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Theresa Church, Tiverton. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours Sunday 4 to 8 a.m.
