William Rego, age 90, of Fall River, Massachusetts, passed away on March 9, 2026.

    He was the devoted husband of the late Eileen (Raposa) Rego.

    Born in Fall River, Massachusetts, he was the son of the late Manuel R. Rego and the late Mary (Medeiros) Rego.

    During his working years, William was employed as a packer for Swanks in Taunton. Beyond his career, he lived a life full of rich hobbies and passions. An avid outdoorsman, he loved spending his time fishing and going for walks. When he wasn't enjoying the fresh air, William could often be found tinkering and fixing VCRs, working on puzzles, playing cards, or enjoying a lively trip to the casino. He was a dedicated fan of professional wrestling and had an eclectic, joyful taste in music, sharing a special love for both Elvis Presley and Taylor Swift.

    He is survived by his son, William Rego, Jr., of Tiverton, RI; and his three daughters, Tammy Stewart, of Swansea, Brenda Larue, of Georgia, and Jo-ann McDermott, of Fall River. He also leaves behind a loving legacy of eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by several siblings.

    A memorial visitation will be held Saturday night, March 21st, from 4 - 6 PM, at the Oliveira Funeral Home - South Main St. Chapel, 2064 S. Main St., Fall River, MA 02724. Burial will be private.
