Albert G. Monteiro

Albert Geno Monteiro, of Fall River, MA, passed away August 14, 2022 at St. Anne's Hospital, in Fall River.

Born in Newport, RI, he was a son of Albert Monteiro and Audrey (Hill) Monteiro. He was a veteran, having served in the US Air Force.

Before his retirement, Albert was employed as a property management engineer. He was an active member of the Cape Verdean community in Newport and Fall River. Geno, as he was known to friends and family, was also an artist known for his bright use of color on large canvases and other mediums integrating culturally themed works. He was also an interior designer and performed notable work on many apartments and homes while in California during the 80's and 90's.

Survivors include his daughter Sophia, sister Claudia, and stepmom Toni.

A memorial is being held on Saturday, September 17th, from 12pm until 4pm at the Memorial Funeral Home located at 375 Broadway in Newport, RI.
