TIVERTON… Allan A. Batista, 74, of Tiverton passed away June 7, 2020 at his home.

He was the loving husband of Sophie (Rebello) Batista.

Born in St. Michael, Azores, he was a son of the late Armand and Maria (Almeida) Batista and had moved to the United States at the age of 7.

Mr. Batista served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and later served 20 years in the Rhode Island Air National Guard, ending his military career as a Master Sergeant. He was a Master Woodworker for many years. He was also an animal lover who adored his pets and a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle and brother.

Along with his wife, survivors include his daughters: Kris Monahan (husband: Gary) of Tiverton and Katherine Pereira (husband: Raymond) of Fall River; his grandchildren: Jarrid Batista of Fall River, Samantha Maciel of Fall River and Nicholas Monahan of Tiverton; his great granddaughter Aaliyah Batista of Fall River; his twin sister: Zelia Medeiros of Somerset; several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Norbert Batista.

At the request of the family, funeral services will be private.
