TIVERTON... Brenda M. (Lima) Raposa, 54, of Tiverton, died Saturday, August 6, 2022 at Brigham and Women's Hospital, in Boston.
She was the loving wife of Ronald J. Raposa.
Born in Fall River, MA, and a resident of Tiverton R.I. for most of her life, she was a daughter of Frances G. (Stables) Lima and the late Frederick Lima.
Brenda was a graduate of the Tiverton High School Class of 1985 and had been employed as a maintenance supervisor at the US Naval War College, in Newport, R.I. for over 30 years. She enjoyed fishing, camping, the Patriots, the Boston Red Sox and her dog Toby. Most of all Brenda loved helping people and spending time with her family, and friends, especially her nieces and nephews whom she adored.
Brenda was also the first girl to participate in the Tiverton Little League Baseball and the Tiverton Youth Basketball League where she excelled and was chosen as an All Star in each league. She was also a coach for the Tiverton Youth Basketball League.
Along with her husband and mother, she is survived by her brother Frederick M. Lima (wife Kathleen) of Westport; sisters Colleen F. Bigelow, Susan M. Lima and Catherine A. Ramos (spouse Paul Amaral) all of Tiverton. She is also survived by many beautiful nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Her funeral will be held Wednesday, August 10, at 9:00 AM, from the Oliveira Funeral Home - South Main St Chapel, 2064 South Main St., Fall River, followed by a funeral service at 10 AM, in the funeral home. Interment will be in Pocasset Hill Cemetery, Tiverton. Calling hours will be held Tuesday night, from 5 – 8 PM.
