After her retirement, she was employed by the Fall River School Department as a cafeteria worker at Fowler Elementary School. She enjoyed spending time with her loving family and making her famous rice pudding, peanut butter balls, and cauliflower salad for many.

She leaves behind her daughters Elizabeth Berube and her husband Ron and Stephanie Nowicki. Cherished grandmother of Aaron Correira and fiance Tanya Fragata and Kyle Correira and wife Kimberly. Great grandmother to her adoring Kinsley & Kristian Correira. She was predeceased by her sisters: Adeline Feldman, Bella Dorney, Dot Leandro & Elsie Carvalho and brothers James, Joe & Jesse Carvalho. She leaves behind several nieces and nephews.
