Joan Ann (Cabral) Carleton

TIVERTON, RI… Joan Ann (Cabral) Carleton, 81, of Tiverton passed away April 22, 2021 at home, surrounded by her family.

She was the loving wife of Gerald J. Carleton, to whom she had been married to since 1960.

Born in Fall River, she was a daughter of the late Everett and Anna (Aguiar) Cabral.

Prior to retiring, Mrs. Carleton worked as Nursing Assistant for Life, Inc. in Bristol, RI and previously as a bartender and waitress at the Sportsman Club, in Portsmouth. In her free time, she enjoyed swimming in her pool, rides to Newport, knitting, reading, and trips to the casino.

Along with her husband, she is survived by her sons Gerald J. Carleton, Jr. and Trevor M. Carleton, both of Tiverton; her sister Barbara Audet, of Westport; her brother Everett Cabral, Jr. of New Port Richey, FL; several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Robert E. Cabral.

Public funeral mass, to which friends and family are invited, will be held Friday, April 30th, at 12:00 PM at Holy Trinity Church, 951 Stafford Rd, Fall River, MA 02721.
