Maria N. (Aguiar) Araujo

FALL RIVER… Maria Norbina (Aguiar) Araujo, 82, of Fall River, passed away Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at St. Anne’s Hospital, in Fall River.

She was the widow of the late Vasco Araujo.

Born in St. Michael, Azores, she was a daughter of the late Joao Aguiar and Maria Da Trindade Oliveira.

Maria was a homemaker and a parishioner of Santo Christo Church. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, cooking (especially making grilled sardines), picking roses from her daughter’s garden, and, most of all, spending time with her family.

She is survived by her daughters: Lucy Gomes, Luise Rainha, Margaret Araujo, and Paula Araujo; her sons: John Araujo (wife Ana), Antonio Araujo, and Jeffrey Araujo; 5 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by several siblings.

A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday December 3rd, at 9 a.m., at Santo Christo Church, Columbia St., Fall River. Burial will be private.
