BERKLEY … Mark T. Dube, 52, of Berkley, MA, passed away on February 16, 2020.
Born in Brookline, MA on December 12, 1967, he was a son of Richard E. Dube and Joanne Larrivee.
Along with his parents, survivors include his son: Maxwell Scott Dube, his niece: Krystal Dube-Gaspar (husband: Danny Dube-Gaspar) and his great-niece Olive Dube-Gaspar, his nephews: Eric Dube and Ryan Dube, and his longtime sweetheart Ronnie Bucci (son: Zachary). Mark was the brother of the late Scott G. Dube and the late Paul R. Dube.
Mark grew up in Waltham, MA and lived there until the late 80s before moving to Hawaii. He took pleasure in being outside and was drawn to anything that allowed him that opportunity. Mark lived in Hawaii for several years before returning to Massachusetts to be closer to family. He had an adventurous spirit and explored several different careers throughout his lifetime including commercial fisherman, salvage diver, and long-distance truck driver. Most recently, he had been taking steps toward becoming a substance abuse counselor. Mark was inquisitive. He took great satisfaction in writing and would often share his poetry with friends and family. An avid Boston sports fan, Mark loved playing sports as much as he loved watching and attending sporting events with his family. Other activities he enjoyed were hiking, kayaking and diving. Mark loved his family and was a very loving son. He will be missed dearly by his friends and family and especially by his mother.
Funeral, to which relatives and friends are invited, will be held on Saturday, February 29, 2020 at 12 PM at Forest Hills Covenant Church, 455 Arborway, Jamaica Plain, MA. Interment will be at Gethsemane Cemetery - 670 Baker Street, West Roxbury, MA.
Calling hours will be Friday, February 28, 2020 from 4-7 PM at Oliveira Funeral Homes – South Main Street Chapel, 2064 South Main Street, Fall River.
