Raymond Ronald Farria passed peacefully after a long illness May 23, 2020, at Sarah Brayton Nursing Skilled Nursing & Rehab Center in Fall River, MA.

Raymond was born on September 5, 1938 in Fall River, MA to the late Pompey Farria & Jean Andrade Farria-Roderick (Spouse: John P. Roderick).

He attended B.M.C. Durfee HS through his Junior year.  He later enlisted as a PFC in the U.S. Army from 1965-1967.  He worked for Duro Mfg for a few years, then moved to Teaneck, NJ to work for the Ford Motor Co in Mahwah, NJ for several years. He returned to Fall River and returned to Duro Mfg until the Textile Company relocated south.  He then worked at Reebok, & Newport Creamery doing Custodial Work until his retirement in 2003.   Known as “Dap Daddy, or Dap” for being a sharp dresser, always in suits & hats, Ray, was fondly called “Ronnie” by family & close friends.    He proudly shared stories about his years working at Ford Motor Plant & his ‘72 Convertible Mustang that he bought off the line that he worked.  In his later years he was always seen wearing a hat & driving a Ford F-150 Truck.

Raymond "Ronnie" Farria is survived by his brother Norman R. Farria & Wife Marion, daughter Angelina Farria, sister Priscilla Farria Perez, niece Cynthia Perez, nephew & Godson Christian Perez & his wife Shakeila, daughter Imani & long time friend Mildred Houtman as well as many cousins & friends.

A small private family funeral will be held at Norte Dame Cemetery in Fall River, MA.  Flowers can be sent to the  Oliveira Funeral Home, 215 Columbia St Fall River, MA 02721.

The family would like to thank the Nursing & Rehab Staff at Sarah Brayton Nursing Home and the tremendous support of the Southcoast VNA Hospice Team for their compassionate care.
